Lawrence Township Neighborhood Initiative

Let's continue continue to be in prayer as we seek Him in this 30 day period.

How is He guiding you?

What can you do to practice "Overflow in your community?

Are we expecting to see our Mighty God work in a BIG WAY in our church, our families, our neighborhoods or our world?

Post your comments and thoughts as you reflect and are led to share.

Does anyone know of a ministry or NFP that builds wheelchair ramps at homes of disadvantaged and disabled people? I have heard of it a couple of times, but no one ever knows any more about it.

I think having a family build day on a real short-term project like this would be a good way to begin exercising our "neighborhood service" muscle together and building community and relationship between us. I know for me, more meetings aren't the way I get to really know people.

My prayer has led me to start small...but start!

I was able to locate this info regarding a wheelchair ramp ministry. Please email me at: susans@east91st.org and I will forward as it contains pictures that I am unsure how to post! It looks like a great project.

Check out www.city-data.com to learn lots of things about your community.

What have you been learning through your prayer time? We have heard exciting news about Young Life at LC and are brainstorming ideas about an hispanic ministry. Let us know of your interest and thoughts.

One of my family members is involved in a wheel chair ramp building effort in Ft. Wayne and has offered to get a team from there to help launch a similar ministry in Indy. I will send the info and pictures to Susan S @ E91 in case you are interested.

My husband and I would be interested in helping in a project like that. We are new. Have you guys met or done anything in Lawrence yet? I'm also curious where in Lawrence people live. We live in Kensington Farms near Pendleton Pike and Sunnyside.
