Washington Township Neighborhood Initiative

We had a great meeting tonight. Different ages and neighborhoods were represented and we left excited to see how the spirit will move through our prayers in the next 30 days! How did it go for you? If you are praying with a group and would be willing to include others, please post details.

Let's continue continue to be in prayer as we seek Him in this 30 day period.

How is He guiding you?

What can you do to practice "Overflow in your community?

Are we expecting to see our Mighty God work in a BIG WAY in our church, our families, our neighborhoods or our world?

Post your comments and thoughts as you reflect and are led to share.

As we seek how God might want to use us in our neighborhoods, workplaces, etc... I'd like to recommend a book for anyone who might be looking for simple ideas on how to minister in various daily, mundane, common situations. The book "Plan A. And There's No Plan B" by Dwight Robertson (and its companion study guide by Amy Kannel and Mark Vermilion) is a great resource, especially for people who could use some encouragement that God uses ordinary people to do His extraordinary Kingdom work. You can order the book at http://sites.silaspartners.com/CC/article/0,,PTID14258%7CCHID114539%7CCIID2251014,00.html.

Check out www.city-data.com to learn more about your community!

What have you been learning through your prayer time? I have been hearing about Exodus ministries that help refugees settling in Washington Township as well as some cool evangelism opportunities... Where is God leading you?
